Expanding My Horizons

I've only been scrapbooking for about two years. My level of creativity is very limited. I used to use sample layouts from Creative Memories Idea Books the majority of the time. Even when I'd do a layout completely on my own I kept it very simple. I've tried to get the creative juices flowing over the last month or so by reading everything I could find about scrapbooking and looking for and browsing through LOTS of layouts online. I went today to a local scrapbooking store and got some ofthese. Heidi Swapp products are new to me, but they are quickly becoming a favorite.

So tonight I really branched out. I used my flower embelishment and ribbon. These are both new things for me, so even though this page is very simple, I'm really proud of it. It took me 2 hours to put it together, which is entirely too long, but practice makes perfect!

Leah, You did so good with this layout! It looks awesome....only bad thing is the picture of me in it! :) For everyone who sees this picture, please note: I am NOT pregnant here. It was, however, this picture that has motivated me to get out and start exercising! And after a month, I am still at it, so I guess I have been inspired by this in more ways than one! Love it, though, Leah!
