Gone to the Birds
One of the biggest trends in scrapbooking right now is the use of birds. They are everywhere. And it doesn't even have to have anything to do with the pictures or the layout in general. Just throw some birds on there for no real good reason. I have not been a fan of the birds. I just don't get the whole big bird craze. However in an effort to at least give this trend a try, I had a bird idea, so I ran with it. I was not going to just throw a bird on there all willy-nilly. If I was gonna use one, it was going to be relevant with the theme of the page. So, for the latest scrapjack, here's what I came up with. The journaling reads "You are more valuable to God than a flock of sparrows. Matthew 10:31"

Ok, Leah, I must not get out much...at least not much in the scrapbooking trend world. This is the first I've heard about the BIRDS. Hmmm, that's different, huh? Like you, I'm not sure I could make that work unless it was actually a part of the story or picture.
But I will say, you did a great job. I really like how you used your birdie and the bible verse works wonderfully.
Nice incorporation of the bird. Although I have to agree they are a little silly, but they are boy friendly. Unfortunately another big scrapbooking trend is flowers, which I love but don't have a lot of use for in a boy's scrapbook.
Such a "tweet" layout! You worked that bird, girl! I may have to come up with one and use the famous camp song..."Do the bird..whoop whoop..."!

I'm with you on the birds. Why use them unless they're relevant to the layout, the pictures, whatever? But you worked the birds here...lol...it's perfect!
