Tate Farms

For the sake of documenting our lives, the good and the bad, I have to say that Miss. N is SO being the 2 year old that she is right now. We have been having nap issues this week. Or to be more accurate, lack thereof. I've tried laying down with her, staying in the room with her, nothing seems to work this week. And it's not like she doesn't need it. She feel asleep in the car on the way to church Wednesday, only to be woken up and in a BAD mood for Bible class. And today when I tried staying in there with her, she almost dozed off numerous times. When she realizes this she starts pulling/playing with her hair, putting her hand in her mouth and gagging herself, and any other thing she can come up with to wake herself up. So after 45 minutes of this I finally left her room, pulled the door shut where she can't open it, and I am listening to her cry and scream as I type.
Suggestions Welcome...

On to Tate Farms..

The weather was pleasant and Natalie had a blast. From picking out her pumpkin, to playing in corn, to swinging with Daddy. It was a hit. Miss Abby had no idea what was going on, but we had fun with her in the corn pit. :)

And then on the ride home.. a very tired girl trying to stay awake..

It will get better! Tyler has just stopped fighting me with naps the past two months. I just did the same that you are doing now. Close the door and let him scream. It was long the first couple times and then after that only lasted a few minutes then he would give up and go to sleep, or at least quietly play.
Love all your pictures. We got rained out of Tate Farms today. Planning on going Thursday night though, so we are praying for some better weather.

My fav is her in the red vehicle.
The look on her face is FULL of personality & is hilarious.
It looks like a fun time was had by all!

Yep, you're doing just fine. I've had to close the door and let the screaming die down with two of mine; it's not fun, but they eventually get used to the idea of being put down for a nap. Hang in there. Remember it wasn't too long ago that you were frustrated with little Abby's sleep habits? It's one of those come-and-go things. This too shall pass!

I absolutely adore that picture of Natalie sitting in the little red tractor. That FACE!!!!! It's too cute! Oh, the spunk you can see in that expression!

It will get better. Unfortunatly it is just the age. I'm going through it major right now with Kendall(not sleeping issues) just plain being TWO! He is ALL TWO and ALL BOY! I'm praying for a girl. I don't know if I can take two boys. LOL! I will be just as happy with a boy though.

Great pictures!

Oh gosh, I SO hear you!! Katie's not even two yet, but she has basically been not sleeping for over a month now...waking up at midnight or one and trying to stay up for the rest of the night.

I have heard that just letting the cry it out is the best way, but if you're like me that is very hard when they're crying "Mama" the whole time :(

It looks like you guys had a fun time at Tate Farms. We are going Thursday.

As far as naps... Have you tried letting her watch a movie? I used to put on one real softly for the boys. They never get to watch tv so they were amazed with it and would just lay in their beds and watch until they fell asleep.
