Just sharing the layouts I did this weekend. Thought I'd give the 6x12 size a try. I do like it and will do more of some pics of me and John to make a mini-album.
That's about all I've got for today. Short and sweet.

Picture of the Day
I took this picture a couple of weeks ago and forgot about it.. it makes me laugh.
Planning to spend the day at grandmommy's house tomorrow. I'm taking some scrap supplies and plan to scrap some while Natalie plays with the grandparents. Hope to have several pages to share soon. Have a great weekend!

Cheese!
I didn't mean to let a whole week go by without updating the blog. I just haven't really had anything exciting to share. I know the family gets ancy when several days go by without new pics of Natalie, so I've got some new ones to share that I took yesterday. The first one just cracks me up because she has such a cheesy grin. That one lone tooth is shining!
This one below shows you how close she is to crawling. (This one's for you Keather! I couldn't get over how similar it is to the pic you last posted of Eliz doing the spider crawl.)
I really thought she's be crawling by now, but she sure knows how to scoot. And I'm beginning to think she may just go straight to walking, as much as she likes to stand up.
That's about it. I haven't done any scrap pages in a few days. I always seem to be in the mood to scrap during the day, which is next to impossible with a 9 month old. After she goes to bed, the mood leaves me. Instead I've been reading a lot, which has been nice. After all the hoopla over this last Harry Potter book, I decided I'd read them. I finished book 1 over the weekend and stared The Chamber of Secrets last night. I just hope I can get through them all before I accidentally run across the ending. Now that everyone's had a few days to read the last book, spoilers will be popping up!
And a big thanks to Bethany for declaring me:

A girl and her dad..
The picture in this layout is one of my absolute favorites. I think it is now my favorite layout to date. One Little Word's latest challenge is the word "simplicity". There's some small journaling under simplicity that says, "pure. unconditional. eternal." Just thinking about how much John adores our girl brings tears to my eyes.
Below is today..playing in the floor. And as you can see our dog had to get in on the action. I love my family!

Weekend Scrapping
I know I've said it before, but I just love all the scrapping challenge blogs that are out there. They help me so much with ideas and keep me motivated to get pages done. Every single page I did over the weekend was for a challenge. So, here they are.
One Little Word: Latest word was "new". Natalie has a new tooth, so this was the most obvious thing I thought of for this.
Scrapjacked: The target layout had a picture that was cut out. I liked the way this turned out, it looks like she is sitting on the ribbon on the page.
The Goodie Box: This months challenge was to create a summer layout. These are the pictures from Natalie's first time in the pool.
PencilLines: They provide a weekly sketch for you to follow. One of my favorite scrapbookers, Stephanie Howell, was the designer for last week.
Unpubbed: This particular challenge blog reveals a "famer" and they challenge you to create a layout based on one of the famer's favorites.
We went swimming today at my Brother-in-laws. Their apartments have a nice big pool. With it being a weekday, there was no one there and it was really nice having the pool to ourselves. This was the first time that John got to go with us and see Natalie in the pool. That's my nephew, Taylor in the 4th pic.
I just love summer!

Playing Catch-up
This past week has just absolutely flown. I have no idea where the last 6 days went. What have I been up to? Well, for one thing I spent most of my spare time watching this. On a whim, last Saturday night, I decided I would watch the first couple episodes and see if it was worth all the buzz. I'd never watched before, and let's just say that over the course of four nights I was up until 1am watching Heroes! I watched all 23 episodes in 4 nights. Now I'm anxiously awaiting the season premier along with all the other Heroes fans. If you like suspenseful, surprising and twisting plots, this show is for you. The only bad thing about watching 4 or 5 episodes in a row until 1 in the morning is, because they are so suspenseful, it'd take me a while to go to sleep and then I'd dream about it all night!
So because I spent my evenings doing that, I haven't done any scrapbooking in almost a week. Which is very unusual! Tomorrow night is our monthly crop with the gals. I have a big to do list and hope to have lots pf pages to share with you first part of next week.
We had a fun 4th! I didn't do to well taking pictures. I've been somewhat disheartened with my camera lately. The flash just seems to wash everyone out and without it, pictures always seem to be so blurry or too dark. We spent the afternoon at my Aunt and Uncles and enjoyed some good smoked ribs and chicken. This is one of the better pictures. Natalie with her Grandmom!
Later in the day we went and spent some time with John's side of the family. Thanks Alan for taking some really good pictures and thanks Kelli, for emailing them to me!
Natalie with Pa-Pa, playing patty cake with Kelli, and my favorite of the bunch.. Just look at those lashes! I have a feeling my little girl's gonna be a heart breaker. And I'm sure John will have quite an assortment of sticks to keep the boys away! :)
