More Pictures

A Big thanks to Jamie who let me use her backdrops, external flash set up and living room, to take some pics of the girls today. (How 'bout that drool!)

My mom gave me the idea of taking some pictures of Abigail in this purple outfit because she is just right around the same age as Natalie when we had 6 mo. pics of her taken.

Here's one of Natalie from back when:
I also took a bunch with them dressed in red for a Valentine Postcard. December was a busy and tough month for all kinds of reasons and I didn't get Christmas cards out. So, instead, I decided I'd do a Valentine Card. Here are a couple of wonderful red!
I love this one because Abigail has her sweet hand on her sister, but I'm not so crazy over that fake smile Natalie is sportin'. I'm learning that it gets harder to take pics of your kids when they get into that toddler stage. Abigail isn't mobile yet so I could just plop her down, but Natalie on the other hand... well, let's just say she's two and leave it at that. :) You'll have to wait until you get your card in the mail to see the best shot I got of them both. :)

That's my beautiful girls!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The above picture was totally by accident. You'll also notice a white cord next to her head..she was playing with the blind cords.

Let me just say that I have some serious respect for photographers. Especially when they are taking pictures of toddlers. The last time we took Natalie to get her picture taken, she had just turned one. She was standing, but not walking yet. Today, I decided I was going to try to do a photo shoot of her for Valentine's Day. It is SO HARD to take pictures when she can get up and walk off! Regardless of that, here are a few that I was happy with.

That last one of both of us was tough to get. How in the world do you get the camera to focus, to set on a timer. Obviously, I wasn't in front of it when I was trying to focus, because I needed to be able to reach the button. HA! And here's my belly shot at 5 months.

Now I'm gonna get the girl fed and down for her nap. I plan to print out these pics, along with a few others, and make John a small album to give him tonight. Talk about waiting til the last minute!

Today's Post

How's that for a title? A couple of pictures and a couple of layouts to share. So glad I've felt like scrappin' a little.

Baby #1 - Never a dull moment in this house these days. This week she got into a tube of my lipstick. Her first mischievous, big mess, mishap. It was all over her hands, her clothes, and various other cosmetics that she had smeared it all over. (and yes we took pics, but I had John grab the camera and I still had it in Manual mode from where I was experimenting, so they were all blurry.)

Baby #2 - I am 17 weeks pregnant and I keep getting comments that I don't look pregnant yet. I know they mean it as a compliment, but come on people, there's definitely a tummy there. ;)

And two pages I got done tonight. A fellow Alabamian is being jacked this time over at scrapjacked. The first one is my version of her page. And I really am liking the second one, "PattyCake Fun". The Red, Pink, and Black made a good combo.

New Layouts

I started out this month with a goal of doing one layout a day for the month of January. That hasn't happened. I am feeling better now that I'm in the second trimester, but I'm having a lot of headaches and still more tired than usual, so my night's are sometimes better well spent in bed rather than scrapbooking. Last night I was feeling pretty good, so I got a few pages done.
The second one was for scrapjacked, and the third one is for the One Little Word challenge, using the word prompt, "steps".

Last night I also tried to get a bunch of pictures ordered so I have a good supply on hand of stuff to scrap. I haven't scrapbooked since October, so I have October, November, and December pictures to print. I have over 900 pictures for those 3 months. I'm obviously not going to print all of those and I certainly can't and won't scrapbook them all. I used to feel I should scrapbook every picture, but now in this day and age with digital photography, that is not even a reasonable expectation. Now I just have to sort through them all, pick out the best ones for printing, put them into regular photo albums and then pick my absolute favorites to scrap.
I'm hoping I can get in the habit of uploading for printing at least once a month.
900 pics.
Over 3 Months time.
I guess I need to classify photography as a favorite hobby. Ya' think?
